Reservation and Payment Policies

Making a Reservation

Reservations can be made through the website, by phone, or email. A valid credit card may be required to guarantee the booking. All reservations are subject to availability.

  • Check-in time is from 2:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM unless otherwise arranged.
  • Special requests are noted but not guaranteed.

Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the arrival date to avoid a charge of one night's stay. No-shows will be charged the full amount of the first night.

  • Refunds for cancellations within the policy are processed within 7 business days.
  • Non-refundable rates may have different terms, as stated at booking.
  • Group bookings may have separate cancellation terms.

Payment

Payment is due upon check-out unless otherwise agreed. We accept major credit cards and EFTPOS. A pre-authorisation may be taken at check-in.

  • Any additional charges (e.g., restaurant, minibar) will be added to the final bill.
  • We do not store credit card details on our website.

Poker Room Policy

Offline Social Card Room

Pine Haven Hotel offers a dedicated poker room as an evening social space for adult guests. The poker room is strictly an in-person activity using physical tables, cards, and symbolic chips. There is no online poker, betting, or real-money gambling.

  • Participation is limited to hotel guests aged 18 years or older.
  • No cash or monetary prizes are awarded.
  • The poker room is intended for entertainment and social interaction only.
  • The hotel reserves the right to limit access or close the room at any time.

Guest Conduct and Responsibilities

Conduct

Guests are expected to behave respectfully towards other guests and staff. Any damage to hotel property caused by a guest will be charged to the guest's account.

  • Smoking is prohibited inside all buildings; designated outdoor areas are available.
  • Pets are not allowed except for service animals.
  • Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Liability for Personal Belongings

Pine Haven Hotel is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings unless caused by our negligence. A safe is available at reception for valuables.

Limitation of Liability and Disclaimer

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Pine Haven Hotel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of this website or your stay, except where such liability cannot be excluded under New Zealand law.

  • Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
  • We are not liable for events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters or utility failures.
